Back from Sabbatical
Wednesday, September 14th, 2005I am officially off my sabbitacal, but it feels no different. The last week, I have had friends my SF and Xiamen in town, and been out entertaining 4-5 days straight. This included the Gucci party that my PR firm executed.
Been working on my internet-Hr project and prefab in China concept and just got back from visiting a factory in Zhejiang. Very cool stuff, one wouldn’t expect to be able to erect a 100 sqm one story house for about 30K USD. Compared to the 600K units in SF, this is awesome.
Went to the Qingdao Beer festival as well as BJ for meetings with publishers in the Game space.
Changes, and old friends, one can’t beat that.
You really can’t.
I don’t know what else to say except to make some more money, so I don’t have to arrange to go on Sabbiticals, and just take them. For now, I have to concentrate on the ventures and investments and hopefully, get some work done without going back to smoking , too much drinking, high blood pressure stress, and workaholic life. 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, and 10 month a year max. That’s the goal.
Still on my health kick, and planning to rev it up even more. Time to get back into more sweaty exercise, and good area, + a bit more "under 4 hour" flights, for good R&R, once every 2 month. The balance that will keep a man sane.
here is to trying, and here is to choosing when to work, and how, without having to….. hopefully we will make the day comes sooner than later!
